A Good Digestive System and Acne

The food we eat is broken down by our digestive system into amino acids, simple sugars, fatty acids and glycerin so that it can be distributed through the blood stream. In other words, it can be said that the machine of our body is dependent on the engine of our digestive system which turns the fuel (food) into energy to drive the body.

This is the most important function of any body organ as all other organs are dependent on this "fuel" to work efficiently. You may eat the best food in the world, but if your digestive system does not function properly then it's useless. Many skin problems are caused by a sluggish digestive system. Acne, boils, eczema, psoriasis and body odor all owe their origin to the malfunctioning of digestive system.

The nourishment of body and health rely on the proper reduction of food into useful components. The failure of the digestive system to do so not only results in fatigue but also fermentation and production of toxins, which then give rise to many diseases, including acne. If unresolved, it eventually affects our whole body and other systems as well.

In digestion processes, a presence of Hydrochloric acid in the stomach plays a vital role. A decrease in the level of this HCL causes a sluggish digestion process. There are many reasons that affect the amount of HCL in the stomach. They include attacks of P.helicobactor, eating junk food, decreases in nutrient uptake, excessive dietary fat and sugar, and weakened functioning of adrenalin glands and hypothyroidism.

There are many diseases associated with the depleted level of HCl. This includes adult acne among other serious problems like arthritis, muscle cramps, fatigue, multiple food allergies, etc.

Low levels of hydrochloric acid are also caused by long term use of antibiotics. These antibiotics impair the immune system too and both these conditions contribute in flaring up of acne. Since skin is the largest organ of the body, it often reflects toxicity of imbalance present in organs or tissue. Acne, whether adult acne or adolescent, is an indication of a sluggish digestive system and an impaired immune system.

Nowadays, antibiotics are prescribed for any minor ailment. In doing so, many infection-causing bacteria have developed immunities to certain antibiotics. antibiotics are suppressive in nature. They hide problems and can damage and weaken the immune system. This in turn leads to digestive problems and worsens the condition.

The skin is a barometer of whatever is going on inside the body. It directly reflects the weak immune system and toxic digestive system. Dry, blotchy, flaky or spotty skin is a sure indication of these conditions.

Acne can be eliminated by understanding the root cause of bad skin conditions. Acne is closely related to diet, which is proven by the fact that this skin disorder is predominantly a Western problem and people in those countries which do not follow a Western diet are not troubled by acne on a serious level.

For human health, three processes are necessary: Appropriation (taking in food, water, air etc.), assimilation (absorbing nutrients) and elimination (expelling waste or toxins). If any of these three processes become unbalanced, that leads to less than perfect health. If the digestive system ( which does the work of assimilation) gets sluggish due to various reasons, then waste products may be expelled through the skin as blocked pores and acne.

There are many factors which affect the digestive system, both internal and external, such as stress, which might cause indigestion, nausea, vomiting, gas and diarrhea. Stress can cause damage to digestion which results in bad skin conditions. That is why people suffering from acne are advised to avoid stress in their daily life.

Weak digestive systems fail to create enough hydrochloric acid which in turn affects liver function. The liver is responsible for processing toxins and once liver functions are affected, toxins start accumulating in the body tissue and organs.

Liver malfunction also gives rise to another problem. It creates glandular problem which results in hormonal imbalance. hormones play an important role in the development of acne, and this surely ends worsening the acne condition.
